It is the beginning of our membership month and welcoming a new member brings joy and celebration to our hearts. This celebration is magnified when our new sister is the daughter of a member … no, even better… she is the daughter of two of our members!
Welcome Kimara! We remember her as a young girl who came to lend a hand in all of our community activities and whose shining energy brightened our statutory meetings from time to time. For too long you called us your « uncles and aunties » of Delmas-Centre, and now we will be calling you « our sister », how funny is that! Give us time to savor the joy of welcoming you as we get into the habit of calling you something else. As for your parents, they must be going through a whirlwind of emotions as they experience pride, confusion, joy and the fear that their fireball is now growing within their club. Let’s also give them time to fully savor this moment of choosing both, Rotary and family.
