Once upon a time – as all successful stories begin – under a blistering sun, in July 2018, somewhere in the Caribbean sea, on an island that was once discovered by Christopher Columbus, a rotary club, made up of young, vibrant and enthusiastic professionals was formed! With indescribable joy, the members of this newly created group coalesced their desire to serve their community in innovative ways, with great ambiance and humor!
That day, they made the commitment to strengthen their efforts to better serve their community and become an inspiration for the new generations hesitating to take the leap from the comfort of their Rotaract and Interact clubs to a Rotary club, by fear that they would no longer shout « Is it fun? », after reciting the Four-Way Test.
Ten months later, this club proved to be one of the best amongst its district – not without a fight against the monotony of the comfort zone – by receiving prizes and various honorable distinctions in recognition of their efforts and services rendered.
This club is composed of hard-working professionals, passionate men and women driven by their desire to contribute to the greater mission of Rotarians, former Interactors and Rotaractor who joined the organization early on. The President-Elect, a dynamic young woman, is in her early thirties; the President-Nominee, the current Secretary, is a former ADRR (Assistant District Rotaract Representative) for the Rotaract.
Let’s not linger on the details for you must have certainly recognized the Rotary Club of Saint-Martin Sunset or the Rotary Club de Delmas-Centre! If you did, you are right! Both clubs share similar hard begginings, exalting histories, unspeakable emotions, as well as their mind-blowing accomplishements and satisfaction through their shared passion to innovate through service.
